there's a year in my beer
Michael’s daily beer review!
Brewer: Grand Teton (@GrandTetonBrew) Beer: SweetgrassStyle: American Pale AleServed: Bottle into pintDay consumed: March 11th 2011
Friday night, I stuffed myself on Indian food from Bombay Sweets and (soy) ice cream from Babe’s. We got home, put the kid to bed, then watched Lars and the Real Girl. I kept thinking about how I needed to drink my beer of the day, but had that I’m about to explode! thing going on in my stomach.
I asked Amy if she wanted to split a Sweetgrass and she agreed.
What a nice APA! The name Sweetgrass is right on: The taste is a nice subtle sweetness, with grassy hops. Well-balanced, highly drinkable. I didn’t take tasting notes, so I can’t get more detailed than that. Lay off - I was relaxing, for Christsake!
Last night, we had people over and a few bottles of Sweetgrass left. Everyone who tried it said, “Wow, this is really good!”
